A world-class iron ore pellet producer, Hibbing Taconite (HTC) began production during the third quarter of 1976 and made its initial shipment to the port of Superior, Wisconsin, in January of 1977. HTC is ISO 9001 certified.

     Cliffs Mining Company:  23%
     Stelco Inc:  14.7%

The Hibbing Taconite Mine is managed by Cliffs Mining Company.
