Mine tours are available on a limited basis throughout the year to special groups such as schools and universities. Public group tours are available in the summer. Unfortunately, we cannot provide individual public tours.

Cliffs Michigan Operations also provide a summer group tour program in conjunction with the Ishpeming-Negaunee and Marquette area Chambers of Commerce. The tour program usually runs from mid-June until late August. Cost is $10.00 per person. One tour of the Michigan operations per day runs Tuesday through Saturday.

Minnesota
Hibbing Taconite provides a summer group tour program in conjunction with Ironworld Discovery Center in Chisholm, Minnesota. Two tours of the Hibbing Taconite Company Mine run per week from mid-June through mid-August. A small fee is charged.

Northshore Mining also provides a summer public tour program in conjunction with Tourist Information Center in Silver Bay, Minnesota. Three tours of the Northshore Mining Silver Bay operations run per week from mid-June through Labor Day weekend. There is no fee charged for this tour.
